IMYTA Liverpool 2002 Rain rain go away, if you bring IMYTA to England, the brits are here to stay. Stay they did! Three hundred skaters came from all over the UK. The Liverpool skies opened up for 3 hours so that the IMYTA could happen. The crowds lined the perimeter of the spots while Dublin’s very own Albert Hooi took all the money with a blind 360 disaster transfer over the kink. The champagne popped upon landing and the crowd went nuts. Rampworx was the hotspot for premieres and sessions. Friends were made, and memories that will last a lifetime. IMYTA is history in the making. Most people talk about doing it, we do it. IMYTA Montreal 2002 O Canada! 48 hours never went by in such a blur. History was in the making once again for the underground. This is the first time IMYTA has ventured north of the USA into the beautiful city of Montreal, Quebec. Our local friends made sure we took in the sites, along with a lot of partying. The weekend was packed full of action. We had the MTL classic competition right alongside the IMYTA. All the heavy hitters from the states were there to try and take the money. The Canadians would not go quietly though. Everyone could feel the buzz builds as the crowd surrounded the Olympic Stadium for the finale. Kingpin Brian Shima and Philly native Selwin Briggs handled business in a split decision from the crowd.
